Our company was able to assert itself in the selection of companies that carried out forestry activities associated with the purchase of timber. For example, during the calamities in the High and Low Tatras in 2004 or during the wind calamity in Šumava in 2007. In 2008, we expanded to the American continent, to the states of Florida, Indiana and Missouri, where we managed to purchase logs and deliver them to our customers. In 2011, we entered into a contract to supply logs from Panama and began exporting timber to India.
In 1998, as part of the purchase of forests and land in the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area, we bought a wooden cottage dating back to 1902, which we renovated and still use and rent out as a recreational facility.
During the whole period of our activity we have managed to buy tens of hectares of forest and non-forest land. In the area of new forest regeneration, we try to emphasize the establishment of broadleaf plantations as part of our work for municipal and private forests. Today we boast dozens of hectares of newly established
and secured stands.
Other activities of the company
In 2007, we participated in the construction of the sports complex U Medvěda in Dobrá, where there are 2 tennis courts and other relaxation facilities. In 2012 we completed the construction of a wine cellar with a terrace, which is located in the premises of the U Medvěda complex. In 2019, we completed the construction of Pension U Medvěda, where the new offices of JEWA EXPORT-IMPORT s.r.o. are located on the ground floor. In 2024, in cooperation with the Czech Pickleball Association, we built 6 new pickleball courts and hosted the first edition of the Pickleball Czech Open competition. In September, the Czech Republic
pickleball championship took place here.
